HDHJA Volunteer

HDHJA thrives thanks to the hard work and generosity of our volunteers. Whether it’s helping at shows, supporting clinics, or assisting with events, volunteers play a vital role in our success. Get involved and become part of the team that makes it all possible.

We have varying types of volunteer positions open throughout the year and welcome new ideas or participation from all members. Reach out if you are interested or would like more information.

• Banquet Committee

Organize the annual HDHJA Awards Banquet

• Fundraising and Development Committee

Conducts revenue and fundraising activities to meet the needs and promote the mission of HDHJA.​

• Information and Technology Committee

Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance social media and technology to benefit and serve HDHJA’s mission and membership.

• Membership Committee

Responsible for encouraging membership in HDHJA, increasing membership participation in HDHJA’s operation and governance, and developing membership benefits.

• Points Committee

Responsible for keeping a current list of point standings and for providing the standings to the Website Committee Chair no later than 14 days post competition.

• Rules Committee

The Rules Committee may review the bylaws and the rules of the Association and recommend any changes to the Board prior to presentation to the members. Substantive rule changes will be voted on annually by the membership. 

• Scholarship/Grant Committee

The Scholarship Committee reviews and evaluates applications for HDHJA scholarships and works with the Board to select finalists. The committee also promotes the scholarship program and encourages eligible riders to apply for these opportunities to support their equestrian education and goals.
